I uninstalled VAIO Care and found "Iolo" on my registry (which I removed as well). The registry defrag tool seems to be run by Iolo technologies.Īnd after some research, apparently the Iolo tools are built into VAIO Care with no configuration to turn this off. This creates an issue because everytime I restart or start up my laptop, it goes through this same process which delays my start up time. Do we truly require anything over what Windows gives The advancement of the Iolo System Mechanic from a fundamental check-up programming to a wide PC sponsor. Which means the registry defrag never even starts up.
Now everytime I start up my laptop, this registry defragmenter/cleaner would start like (Windows 7 Loading screen-> registry defragmenter start up -> then it displays a "please wait" -> skips to Windows 7 login screen).
They have a tool called a registry defragmenter and I activated which apparently is a mistake. I am currently on a Sony VAIO laptop (Z series) that uses VAIO Care. The AOL Computer Checkup does a respectable job of whipping worn PCs back into shape, but its license limitationthe price tag covers just one PCmakes the free, Editors Choice award-winning.
