I have also bought Syntronik by IK Multimedia, as these sounds can be loaded and played in ST4. kontakt (.nki), halion (.fxp), emu soundfont 2.0 (sf2), sampletank (.sth) plus 16bit 44.1 khz (.wav) files so you can open the desired format to instantly assign sounds to the corresponding notes of your midi. 'INSTRUMENTS' folder - all sounds in differnt formats ex. ST4 can run as a stand alone application, so there is no need for a VSTi host, which makes it even easier to run. 'KITS' folder - arranged into 3 kits of drums and 1 kit of instruments. The synth workstation-like interface, makes it very easy to set up sounds, combine them in all kinds of splits and layers and switch between them using MIDI program changes from my keyboards.
